Content
- Initial Education
- Purpose, Principles and Progressions of Ground School, its relationship and application to the enhancement of mounted work both on the flat and over fences.
- Training progressions, goals and desired results for both horse and rider
- Equine types, characters and personalities ; conformation, anatomy and physiology, serviceable soundness, blemishes, compensating points of strength
- Transportation, loading, travelling & standing.
Subjects covered :
- Historical background.
- Initial, Basic, Advanced and Corrective work for all disciplines.
- Practical and theoretical principles of equine physiology and psychology.
- Practice and theory of work on the flat and over fences, free and under saddle.
- Achieving a naturally forward horse, consistent balance, straightness, flexibility and suppleness;
- Understanding mobility and how to adapt the rider's physical movement to the horse's motion ;
- Reaching and winning the horse's understanding and co-operation, persuading him to obey willingly and without resistance no matter the discipline, level or final goal ;
- Guiding the horse knowledgeably with the confidence afforded from analysis, understanding, a secure seat, independent balance and co-ordinated motion.
Curricula for :
Sessions may be
Private (1 rider/horse) @ $ 60.00
Semi-private (maximum 2 rider/horse) @ $ 40.00
Group (maximum 4 rider/horse) @ $ 30.00
